Graduation plant

The heart of the Waldenstein Kneipp facilities is the graduation facility. It is just a few steps away from the campsite.

Salty water – called brine – flows over fir brushwood and sloe branches. As the brine trickles down, it is broken up into tiny droplets by the countless branches. This enriches the air with salt aerosol and essential oils. Inhaling this salty air into the airways improves blood circulation in the airways, which alleviates numerous respiratory complaints. Inhalation in a graduation facility is also said to have a calming effect and revitalize the cardiovascular system. In order to fully enjoy the positive effects of these inhalations, it is recommended to use the graduation system daily for at least a few minutes. 20 minutes to visit.

Graduation towers were originally used in salt works to concentrate brine. It was discovered that this can alleviate respiratory complaints. Although salt mining is not possible in Waldenstein, fortunately the white gold is now affordable for everyone.

The facility can be used free of charge around the clock from around mid-April to the end of October.
In cooler temperatures, it may be advisable to bring a warm blanket, as the moist air feels cooler.
